How it Works

Welcome to AMTSociety's Online Maintenance Training for IA Renewal and the FAA AMT Awards Program.

AMTSociety members have FREE access to our online maintenance training seminars. (Not a member? Join today!) You may take the seminars in any order and at any time. Access to the seminars begins and ends with your membership.

Once a seminar is completed, you will be instructed to take a 10 question verification quiz. (Note: You will not be able to access the quiz unless the entire presentation is viewed.) After successful completion of the quiz, your completion certificate will be generated.

The Inspection Authorization (IA) refresher training meets the requirements contained in FAR 65.93(A)(4) Inspection Authorization Renewal and is acceptable towards IA Renewal and the FAA AMT Awards Program.

Each course is credited for 1 hour of IA renewal training. You must complete 8 courses to complete the training for IA renewal. Each seminar can only be taken once per renewal year. For FAA AMT Awards Program credit, the training will be divided by 50 minutes for each hour and rounded to the lower number of hours. You are responsible for presenting the certificates to your local FSDO or FAA inspector for IA renewals or FAA AMT Awards Program credit.

All questions on the verification quiz must be answered correctly in order to satisfactorily complete a seminar and receive a certificate for that seminar. If you do not answer all of the questions correctly, you will have the opportunity to retake the questions you missed until you have answered all 10 questions correctly.

Guidelines for AMTSociety's Online Maintenance Training

  1. An AMTSociety membership is required to complete any of the seminars. (Not a member? Join today!).
  2. Registration data is shared with the FAA for follow-up and verification purposes.
  3. All verification quiz questions must be answered correctly to count as a successful completion. Certificates will be issued (in the form of a pop-up) upon successful completion of the quizzes.
  4. Seminars can be taken any time within the 12-month period prior to March 31st for IA renewals and the FAA AMT Awards Program.
  5. Each seminar can only be taken once per renewal year.
  6. All AMTSociety members agree to grant AMTSociety and Cygnus Business Media permission to use their name and/or photograph and/or image for promotional, advertising, or editorial reporting purposes.
